Locum Placement Group is excited to offer a fantastic opportunity for a skilled and dedicated Occupational Therapist to join the team at a renowned NHS Foundation Trust in London. This role provides an excellent chance to work within an acute orthopaedic inpatient environment, delivering high-quality care to both trauma and elective patients.
Key Responsibilities:
As an Occupational Therapist in this position, you will:
- Assess, treat, and manage patients with a broad range of acute orthopaedic conditions, including trauma and elective surgeries.
- Provide expert assessment and treatment to patients with traumatic brain injuries (TBI).
- Take charge of clinical assessments, manual handling, and discharge planning processes.
- Supervise and mentor junior staff, supporting their professional growth and development.
Essential Qualifications:
To be considered for this role, you will need:
- HCPC registration.
- A UK-recognised occupational therapy diploma/degree.
- A minimum of 6 months’ experience in an NHS acute hospital setting.
- Recent experience in managing acute orthopaedic inpatients, including both trauma and elective cases.
- Strong clinical skills, including manual handling, discharge planning, and assessments.
- Experience in supervising and mentoring junior staff.
